Strawberries! I love them, especially fresh from the garden. Of course it took me a few years to learn to cover the plants with netting BEFORE the strawberries appeared since geese and ducks will apparently even eat green strawberries. If you're also a strawberry lover why not go to one of the local Strawberry Festivals?

In the mood for a quick run? It isn't too late to sign up for the Coal Cracker 10K (10 am) and Kids Fun Run (9 am) in Shenandoah on Saturday, June 8. Registration is from 7:30 am to 9 pm but you can sign up online until June 4 here. Fee is $30 for 10K and $5 for Kids Run. This is (no surprise) a very hilly course! The after party will be offering Mrs. T's pierogies and Yuengling beer and awards made of coal.
