It's a classic. everyone's seen it and, if you haven't, you really should. I'm referring to Thornton Wilder's play "Our Town" about, well...life in a small town. The Tamaqua Area Community theater is presenting it this weekend -- Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. a the Community Arts Center, 125 Pine Street, Tamaqua. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. come enjoy an old favorite or discover a must see.
If you're involved in local theatrics you might want to stop by the Schuylkill Mall this weekend to fill out your wardrobe. Frackville Rotary Club's Cinderella's Closet is moving from the mall (isn't everyone) and they're having a clearance sale before they move to their new location. Wouldn't this be a great opportunity to pick up a few gowns that might be needed in future high school or community theater performances? Gowns are $1 and $10 for a bag. They'll be open this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We're quite the musical area! Again there are plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy a performance.
