Of course one of the ways most of know to ward off Alzheimer's is by exercising your brain -- learning new things. Maybe you or someone you know would be interested in a Diakon Living & Learning class. Classes are held throughout the county and range from painting to aromatherapy to scuba diving! there are even several "drop-in" classes. You don't have to sing up ahead of time. Just "drop-in" on weeks when you feel like it. Learn more about the classes and other activities here. I've always thought it would be fun for a group of friends to take a class together. Espanol, anyone? Belly dancing? Self defense?
