If St. Patty's Day has you feeling more than a little Irish there are plenty of ways to celebrate this weekend. First, the parades! And what wonderful weather we'll have for parades. Tomorrow will be Pottsville's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade starting at 11 a.m. at 12th and West Market Streets. Then you can end a week of Irish on Saturday, March 19 with the Girardville AOH Parade starting at noon. You can begin your day with 10 a.m. mass at St. Vincent's Worship Center. If it's Irish music you're yearning for don't miss The Celtic Martins at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center, 125 Pine Street. On Saturday at 7 p.m. they'll be performing both Celtic Music and Irish step dancing starting at 7 p.m.
If it's just a party you're looking for stop by two local fire companies this Saturday. The Humane Fire Company, 200 Humane Avenue, Pottsville will be partying from noon to 4:30 p.m. with music by DJ J Mills. Tickets are $20, $25 at the door and can be purchased in advance at Murphy Jewelers, the Humane Fire Company or Trippin' Billie's. Then you can end the day at West End Fire & Rescue, 700 W. Mahanoy Avenue, Mahanoy City from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. with music by Toolshed Jack and DJ Uranko. Cover charge is $8 and ID required. Don't forget a designated driver and drink responsibly.
