Yesterday afternoon I came outside to the biggest surprise. It was sunny! The weather was nice! So, with my fingers crossed that the weekend's predicted scattered showers will be more scattered and less showers I thought I'd give you a peek at some of the upcoming outdoor events. Bring out your canine buddy for a pet parade, music, demonstrations and vendors. Rain date is May 18.
South End Field and Stream Association, Whipporwill Dam, Morea Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m. with trout release at 10 a.m.)

Disc Golf Tournament
Sweet Arrow Lake County Park beginning at 10 a.m. (registration from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.)
Two rounds of disc golf for a $45 fee ($35 for amateurs) with $5 of that to benefit "Friends of Schuylkill County Parks and Recreation".
