We have a pine tree in our yard that amazes me every time I look at it. That's because I remember when my daughter brought it home from second grade and it was little more than a stick...I think her ruler was longer than this "tree". Now it's taller than everyone, including my VERY TALL son, and looks like the perfect Christmas tree. In fact, when it was more Christmas tree size (it's a little too tall for most homes now) I lived in fear each December that someone would sneak into our yard in the dead of the night and spirit it away to decorate their living room. Trees are like kids. One day they're teeny tiny and the next...WOW!
