Do you know a high school student who wants to have an adventure during summer vacation this year? Have them check out the 3rd Annual Schuylkill Acts & Impacts watershed expedition. Twelve high school students (you must be enrolled in high school and graduating seniors are eligible) from five watershed counties (including Schuylkill County) will join together from June 18 to 25 for a 120 mile journey along the Schuylkill River to "...spend the week learning about different water quality impacts in the watershed, do hands-on testing, learn from and interact with environmental professionals throughout the watershed, and will camp, kayak, and have tons of fun!!"
This will be a camping out and kayaking experience but all the student needs to provide is a sleeping bag, Learn more about the week and download the application at the Schuylkill Headwaters website. The deadline to apply is March 24! This looks like an incredible experience so start working on the application today.
