Visiting Eckley Miners' Village is always a trip back in time but this weekend will be special -- a trip back to the 1940s. There will be a variety of displays, vendors and events happening this weekend. What interests you?
You can continue your 1940s experience by heading to the Freeland Public Park Pavilion, 410 Front Street, Freeland for a Swing Dance with live music by the Hazleton Philharmonic Big Band Sound and The Blue Notes. The dance is on August 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. And $2 off if you're wearing 1940s attire!
