In our mudroom there is a row of cabinets -- one which we rarely open and then only very, very carefully. Because that's the cabinet that is jam-packed with plastic bags from places like the grocery store. I do my best, taking my cloth bags to the grocery store, but those bags keep sneaking into the house carrying new shoes, Girl Scout cookies, takeout food. I also have a theory that they mysteriously multiple once they get in the cabinet -- they are the rabbits of storage containers.
Do you have an overflowing plastic bag cabinet in your house? If so, you might want to check out a free workshop at the Zion Lutheran Church, Klinger's Church Road, Lykens today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring some of those pesky plastic bags and a pair of scissors and learn all about upcycling your plastic bags into something useful.
